The 116th Territorial Defense Brigade Patch 7x8cm is a durable PVC insignia representing the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Measuring 7×8 cm, this patch features a Velcro (hook side) backing for easy attachment to tactical gear, combat uniforms, or body armor.

Historical Background – 116th Territorial Defense Brigade:

The 116th Territorial Defense Brigade (military unit A7044) was established on June 25, 2018, in Poltava Oblast as part of Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its military reserve forces. The brigade comprises several Territorial Defense Battalions located in various districts of Poltava Oblast, including Poltava, Kremenchuk, Hadiach, Lubny, Myrhorod, and Lokhvytsia.

With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, the brigade’s units were actively involved in the defense of key regions. Notably, during the night of February 26–27, units of the brigade, along with various regular Ukrainian Armed Forces formations, destroyed two columns in the vicinity of Hadiach. For more than 10 days, heavy battles raged on the border of Poltava and Sumy Oblasts. Each time Russian forces tried to cross the Sula River, they were stopped by artillery units of the brigade. In those battles, the brigade captured numerous enemy tanks, artillery, and anti-aircraft guns.

Later, the brigade was involved in the 2022 Kharkiv counteroffensive and remained in the Kharkiv region until the end of 2022. In January 2023, units of the brigade were fighting near Soledar and Bakhmut. Subsequently, the brigade saw action near Marinka and Avdiivka.

Throughout its service, the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade has demonstrated resilience and dedication, contributing significantly to Ukraine’s defense efforts during times of conflict.
