Formed as part of Ukraine’s expanded military structure, the 118th Brigade has taken part in active combat missions involving combined arms tactics, including infantry assaults, armored maneuver, and support from artillery and UAV reconnaissance units.

Historical Background – 118th Mechanized Brigade:

The 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade was created in 2023 as part of Ukraine’s military response to large-scale hostilities and the need for flexible, mobile ground forces. It is part of the Ground Forces of Ukraine and includes mechanized infantry, armored units, artillery support, and drone operators.

Since its formation, the brigade has been actively involved in operations in eastern and southern Ukraine, particularly within sectors experiencing heavy mechanized combat.
