The 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade Patch 7x8cm is a durable PVC insignia representing the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Measuring 7×8 cm, this patch features a Velcro (hook side) backing for easy attachment to tactical gear, combat uniforms, or body armor.

The design showcases a stylized emblem reflecting the brigade’s commitment to defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Historical Background – 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade:

The 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade (military unit A7052) was established on June 30, 2018, in Mykolaiv Oblast as part of Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its military reserve forces. The brigade comprises several Territorial Defense Battalions located in various districts of Mykolaiv Oblast, including Pervomaisk, Voznesensk, Ochakiv, Bashtanka, and Mykolaiv.

With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, the brigade’s units were actively involved in the defense of key regions. Notably, the 187th Battalion participated in the defense of Voznesensk, and the 190th Battalion was engaged in defending Bashtanka.

In October 2024, the brigade faced internal challenges when approximately 100 soldiers from the 187th Battalion held a rally in Voznesensk, protesting the lack of training and equipment. Around the same time, Lieutenant Colonel Ihor Hryb, commander of the 186th Battalion, died under circumstances that led to an internal investigation.

In a remarkable archaeological find in early 2025, soldiers from the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade uncovered an ancient burial site dating back to the 6th–5th centuries BC while constructing military fortifications in Mykolaiv. Artifacts, including Ionian amphorae and human remains, were discovered and entrusted to the Staroflotski Barracks Museum for further examination.

Throughout its service, the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade has demonstrated resilience and dedication, contributing significantly to Ukraine’s defense efforts during times of conflict.
