136th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade Patch, officially titled the Uman-Berlinskaya, Apsheronskaya, Red Banner, Orders of Suvorov, Kutuzov, and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Brigade. Stationed in Buynaksk, Republic of Dagestan, this brigade is a key component of the 58th Combined Arms Army within the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces.
The 136th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade traces its lineage back to the 33rd Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade, which was formed during World War II. The brigade earned the honorary titles “Uman-Berlinskaya” for its distinguished service in the battles for Uman and Berlin. Over the years, it has been awarded several orders, including the Order of the Red Banner, the Order of Suvorov, the Order of Kutuzov, and the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky, reflecting its valor and effectiveness in combat operations.
In the post-Soviet era, the brigade was restructured and stationed in Buynaksk, Dagestan. It has been actively involved in various military operations, including counter-terrorism efforts in the North Caucasus region. Notably, the brigade participated in the Second Chechen War and has been engaged in operations within the Southern Military District.
