169th Training Center Patch 7×9.5cm — Ukrainian-made PVC patch for the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, also known as Desna. This original patch is made from durable PVC, measures 7×9.5 cm, and includes a hook backing for easy attachment to uniforms and training gear.

The 169th Center is Ukraine’s largest and most well-known military training facility, responsible for preparing new recruits, contract soldiers, junior commanders, and specialized troops across various military specialties.

Historical Background – 169th Training Center “Desna”:

The 169th Training Center, located in Chernihiv Oblast, is one of Ukraine’s premier military training institutions. Known informally as Desna, it has served as the core educational and preparatory hub for Ukraine’s Ground Forces since its establishment.

The center trains various categories of servicemen, including conscripts, professional soldiers, NCOs, and reserve officers. Training at Desna includes infantry tactics, weapons proficiency, urban combat, and battlefield survivability.

During the ongoing war, Desna has become a critical pipeline for equipping and training new combat units. Many of Ukraine’s frontline brigades include soldiers trained at the 169th Center.

This patch is an original Ukrainian-made insignia and is worn by both instructors and trainees at Desna — the heart of Ukraine’s military preparation system.
