1st Separate Assault Battalion Flag “Da Vinci Wolves” commemorates one of the most iconic volunteer formations of modern Ukraine. Measuring 120×80 cm, it features the battalion’s emblem and is dedicated to the legendary commander Dmytro Kotsiubailo, known by his call sign “Da Vinci”.

Historical Background – 1st Separate Assault Battalion “Da Vinci Wolves”:
Originally formed as a volunteer group during the early phase of the war in Donbas, the Da Vinci Wolves became officially recognized as the 1st Separate Assault Battalion under Ukraine’s Armed Forces. The unit gained legendary status under the leadership of Dmytro Kotsiubailo, who was posthumously named a Hero of Ukraine after being killed in action in 2023.

The battalion has taken part in numerous critical engagements, defending Kyiv, operating in Bakhmut, and executing deep-assault missions in Eastern Ukraine. Their reputation for effectiveness and fierce combat has made their flag a symbol of defiance and national pride.
