42nd Mechanized Brigade Patch 7×9,5cm — official PVC insignia of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, one of the newly formed units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The patch is made from durable PVC, measures 7×9,5 cm, and includes a hook backing for use on combat uniforms and tactical equipment.

The 42nd Brigade is part of Ukraine’s military expansion aimed at increasing operational mobility and regional defense. It includes mechanized infantry, armored vehicles, artillery, and drone teams operating in coordination across high-conflict areas.

Historical Background – 42nd Mechanized Brigade:

The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade was formed in 2023 during Ukraine’s large-scale restructuring of its Ground Forces to meet the demands of prolonged conflict. As part of the 2023 wave of new units, the brigade was built with a focus on rapid deployment, combined-arms warfare, and close integration with aerial reconnaissance and artillery.

The brigade has been active in southern Ukraine, including Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, where it took part in offensive and defensive operations alongside other newly formed brigades. Equipped with modern gear and often supported by Western-supplied vehicles, it represents a new generation of Ukrainian mechanized formations.

This patch is Ukrainian-made and worn by soldiers of the 42nd Brigade currently serving in combat operations.
