540th Air Defense Patch 7×9.5 cm Ukrainian Air Force

The 540th Air Defense Patch (7×9.5 cm) is an official Ukrainian Air Force PVC insignia assigned to the 540th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, known as “Lviv Ivan Vyhovsky” (unit A4623), which operates under Air Command West from Kamianka‑Buzka and Lutsk Air Base. This patch used by brigade A4623 has been worn by crews operating S‑200 and S‑300PT missile systems, protecting Lviv and Volyn regions during both the Donbas war and the 2022 Russian invasion.

In honor of its distinguished service, the regiment carries the honorary name “Lviv Ivan Vyhovsky” and received the award “For Courage and Bravery” in August 2023. Since January 2022, the regiment returned to full combat duty equipped with modernized missile systems including S‑300 and long-range S‑200D models.
