Historical Background – 65th Mechanized Brigade:

The 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was formed in April 2022 as part of the intensified military mobilization in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion. Composed of experienced soldiers and newly trained mobilized personnel, the brigade was quickly deployed to the Zaporizhzhia front.

Since its formation, the brigade has been heavily involved in defensive and offensive operations, particularly in southern Ukraine, near the cities of Orikhiv and Robotyne. The unit is credited with playing a significant role during Ukraine’s 2023 counteroffensive, pushing through fortified Russian lines and engaging in intense battles around key logistics routes.

The 65th Brigade is equipped with a range of armored vehicles, including BMP infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, and artillery. It operates in coordination with other mechanized and artillery brigades in the area and is part of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Command.

This patch is original and made in Ukraine. It is actively used by combat units and reflects the identity of a frontline brigade engaged in the ongoing war in Ukraine.
