Battle of Ilovaisk (August 2014):
Units of the 6th Separate Tank Brigade participated in combat operations near Ilovaisk in Donetsk Oblast. On August 26, 2014, a T-72B3 main battle tank from the brigade’s 1st company of the 3rd battalion was captured by Ukrainian forces near the village of Agronomichne. This provided concrete evidence of direct Russian military involvement in eastern Ukraine. -
Battle of Debaltseve (February 2015):
Elements of the brigade were deployed in the offensive operations during the battle for Debaltseve, one of the most significant engagements in the Donbas war, aimed at encircling and defeating Ukrainian troops in the salient.

Reformation into the 47th Guards Tank Division (2021):
By December 2021, the 6th Separate Tank Brigade was reorganized into the 47th Guards Tank Division, and a new unit — the 26th Tank Regiment — was formed on its basis, stationed in Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. -
Full-scale Invasion of Ukraine (from February 24, 2022):
The newly established 26th Tank Regiment and elements of the 47th Tank Division took part in Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Reports confirm the brigade/division’s involvement in early operations in northern Ukraine, including actions near Sumy and Chernihiv, as well as subsequent deployment on the eastern and southern fronts.
