Historical Background – OC “North” Psychological Support Center:

The Operational Command “North” (ОК “Північ”) is one of the main regional command structures in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, responsible for defense coordination in northern oblasts, including Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.

Within this command, the Center of Moral and Psychological Support operates as a key unit tasked with supporting mental health, morale, and ideological cohesion of Ukrainian forces. These centers were especially important during the battles for Kyiv and Chernihiv in 2022, providing psychological aid and countering disinformation amidst intense combat.

Their ongoing role includes supporting newly mobilized troops, organizing morale-building events, and reinforcing resilience under the psychological strain of the full-scale Russian invasion.
