This Combat Used Russian Eagle Flag Patch combines the white, blue and red national tricolor with a large golden double headed eagle. The emblem fills the centre of the rectangular face, with a red shield on its breast and a mounted figure inside that shield. A dark border frames the design. The front photograph also shows loose fibres at the edges, allowing the surface and perimeter of the individual specimen to be examined.

The eagle is the familiar central figure of the Russian state coat of arms. Its distinguishing elements include two crowned heads, a larger crown above them, and the sceptre and orb held in its claws.
