The Russian Air Force Flag Patch combines a blue field and spreading yellow rays with a crowned double-headed eagle. A propeller and anti-aircraft gun cross below the eagle’s red breast shield. The central figure corresponds to the medium Air Force emblem described in Russian military heraldry.

This Russian aviation insignia is a flag-themed composition rather than a numbered unit badge. The standard Air Force flag introduced in 2004 used the smaller winged propeller-and-gun emblem; this photographed version incorporates the eagle. The distinction matters when identifying a VVS eagle badge rather than treating every blue-and-yellow design as the same regulation flag.

The blue yellow air force patch has a rectangular format and no squadron, airfield or regiment name. Its subject is branch-level aviation heraldry, not a particular aircraft type or named flying unit.
