Russian Air Force (VVS RF) Patch represents the modern aviation branch of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, now part of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). Measuring 9×9 cm, the patch features a classic golden eagle with outstretched wings, symbolizing protection, air superiority, and vigilance.

This patch is supplied without Velcro backing, designed for sewing onto jackets, backpacks, tactical equipment, or display boards.

Historical Background – Russian Air Force (VVS RF):

The Russian Air Force (Военно-воздушные силы России / VVS RF) was established in 1992 following the collapse of the Soviet Union, inheriting the assets and traditions of the Soviet Air Force.

In 2015, the VVS was merged with the Russian Air and Missile Defense Forces and Space Forces to form the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). Despite the merger, the VVS insignia remains in active use across various aviation units, especially within bomber, fighter, and transport aviation regiments.

The VVS has been active in:

• Chechnya (1994–2000s)

• Georgia (2008)

• Syria (2015–present)

• Ukraine (2022–present) – including strategic bombing campaigns and support for ground operations.
