SIGMA Special Forces Patch 8cm – Russian PVC Tactical Unit Emblem

This original PVC patch represents the “SIGMA” Special Purpose Unit (Отряд Специального Назначения СИГМА), an unofficial tactical formation associated with modern Russian combat operations. The patch features a stylized wolf head with a cybernetic red eye inside a crosshair ring, surrounded by Cyrillic lettering and two red stars.

Made of flexible, weatherproof PVC with Velcro backing, the patch is 8 cm in diameter and designed for attachment to combat vests, backpacks, and field uniforms. It is commonly seen on gear associated with volunteer or auxiliary special operations groups active in the Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine.

Historical Background – SIGMA Patch in SMO Context:

Although not an officially recognized regular unit, the SIGMA insignia has been increasingly observed on tactical gear in war zones of the SMO. Its design, mixing aggressive symbolism with militarized aesthetic, has made it a popular morale patch among fighters and collectors.
