VKPO 3.1 All-Season Uniform Set

Russian Armed Forces Layered Clothing System Size 48-4

The VKPO 3.1 (ВКПО 3.1 – Всероссийский комплект полевого обмундирования) is the latest generation of Russia’s official all-season military clothing system. This uniform set is designed for modular layering, allowing soldiers to adapt to a wide range of temperatures and combat environments.

Consisting of multiple interchangeable layers, VKPO 3.1 includes thermal underwear, fleece jacket, windproof outer shell, insulated layer, and waterproof garments. It is widely used by contract servicemen and specialized units in all seasons — from -40°C cold to +15°C spring or autumn weather.

This particular set is part of the VKBO (VKPO) series and has been used in operational deployments during the Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine and other modern operations.

Historical Background – VKPO 3.1 System:

The VKPO system was introduced as part of Russia’s modernization of military gear in the 2010s, replacing outdated Soviet-style uniforms. VKPO 3.1 represents the most current iteration, improving insulation, breathability, and wear resistance.

VKPO 3.1 has become standard issue for many units deployed in modern conflicts, particularly within the context of the war in Ukraine. It is known for its effectiveness in harsh winter conditions and has been seen in use among both infantry and support units across various terrains.
