Captured Granit Kursk Patch – Crossed Rifles Shield
80,00 €
This Captured Granit Kursk Patch carries «ГРАНИТ» above «КУРСК» in pale Cyrillic letters across the upper part of a shield shaped face. Crossed rifles occupy the centre over contrasting pale and dark shapes. A tan border follows the sides and the shaped lower edge. The front photograph shows the complete design, including the two line title and the intersection of the rifles beneath it.
The name is transliterated as Granit Kursk. «Гранит» is the Russian word for granite, while «Курск» is the place name Kursk. Keeping Granit in the English title preserves the name as it appears rather than converting it into a description of a stone. The second word provides the geographical reference written on the patch, and both words remain visible in the supplied product image.
The crossed rifles are rendered in the same tan colour as the border, extending diagonally between the upper centre and lower corners. Their curved magazines and stocks are visible within the illustration. A tall dark silhouette sits behind them against the paler central area. The background and crossing weapons should be considered together when comparing this example with another shield carrying the same or a similar written name.
As Russian trophy Kursk insignia, this piece is identified by the complete inscription and its specific shield design. The Granit Cyrillic badge has a relatively broad upper edge and a shaped lower border with a central point between curved sections. Those outline details distinguish it from a simple rectangle or a shield ending in one uninterrupted triangular point. The photograph preserves the full perimeter and the pale lettering across the top.
The reverse view shows olive hook backing with a dark perimeter line and visible loose material near the upper edge. Both images record the same captured Russian shield patch. The front is the featured image and the back is the second gallery photograph. One specimen is available at €80. The listing concerns the individual example pictured, with the exact name, crossed rifles and tan edging retained in its description. The two views provide the decorated face and attachment side of that single item, allowing the visible wear and shaped outline to be assessed together.
