The Russian Camouflage Bear Patch shows a large black bear in profile, with an open mouth and long claws extending across the lower section. A dark branch motif appears above the animal on the camouflage background.

The Russian bear claw insignia uses a tall rectangular format. Its central bear is larger than the head-only motifs found on some other animal designs, with the forelimb and sweeping claws forming part of the illustration.

This forest bear badge contains no Cyrillic or Latin lettering, country name or formation number. The camouflage wildlife patch is therefore catalogued by the visible animal and forest motif. The photograph identifies this particular composition through the bear’s profile and the extended lower claws.
