The Russian Ushanka Bear Patch shows a roaring bear wearing an ushanka, the ear-flap fur hat associated with Russian and Soviet imagery. A small red star appears at the front of the hat. The bear is rendered in black and white over a camouflage field.

This Russian bear insignia combines an animal motif with the distinctive hat and star. The face carries no unit number, organization name or slogan. The ushanka red star badge therefore has a general Russian theme rather than a designation that identifies a particular regiment.

The rectangular camouflage animal patch is distinguished by the bear’s open mouth and white facial details. The photograph shows the front of this specific design.
